La Vagabonde is a 48ft performance catamaran built by renowned French builders Outremer. We sail in the beautiful Abaco Islands. Easily accessible with regular, affordable and quick flights from the US, you will be blown away by the beauty found here both above and below the water. Vagabonde Adventures offers you 3 types of trips: 1. The Holiday - Kick back, relax and enjoy a sailing trip in paradise while your captain and chef take care of you from start to finish. Our location in the beautiful Abaco Islands offers great sailing, white sand beaches, lively coral reefs and world class fishing. Local restaurants from fun to fancy make this a truly unforgettable destination. 2. Learn the Ropes - Sail coaching from our certified instructors. Performance catamarans are getting more popular every year, come and get some helm time and see what all the fuss is about, you will love it. Our trips are custom catered to whatever you would like to practice. 3. Get Certified - Earn your certifications through the American Sailing Association learning from our world class instructors. Our instructors have sailed and taught all over the world and have logged multiple ocean crossings - their experience is second to none and will help you to quickly build confidence. La Vagabonde CREW PROFILE
CAPTAIN
CREW
Bitten by the sailing bug, Jack started out as a charter skipper but soon gravitated towards instructing and found his calling there.
Now with 30,000 nautical miles under his belt, Jack is a sailing instructor with both the Royal Yachting Association and the American Sailing Association. Coaching is his passion and he works hard to ensure that people get as much hands-on experience as possible. You can find him happily manning the tiller while at sea or enthusiastically leading a group snorkeling adventure.
Jack loves to sail fast and is always keen to get the best performance from his crew and the yacht.
Antonieta (Eta) - Born and raised by the sea, Eta’s first love was the ocean. Hailing from the coastal city of Split in Croatia, Eta has been working as a professional skipper since 2016. Now as a sailing instructor with American Sailing she is passionate about sailing and building peoples confidence.
Never one to shy away from adventure, Eta has just completed a crossing of the Pacific Ocean and has been busy exploring French Polynesia.
Growing up sailing the Croatian islands aboard her family’s yacht she has a healthy passion for life under the sea as well as the culinary culture that surrounds life above. Her dad tells us that even before she could swim she was diving down to look at octopus hiding in the rocks.
Eta loves cooking and you may be lucky enough to see her onboard as captain, instructor or chef. Eta has an enthusiasm for everything that is simply infectious, always cheerful and always involved no matter what we are doing. She epitomizes what the Vagabonde Adventures experience is about.
