The yacht has a spacious indoor/outdoor salon, sized for the entire charter party to be together. For sun and fun, a spacious cushioned bow lounge lets everyone enjoy an exciting ride over the water. For guests who want to hoist the sails and take a turn at the helm, the Captain is a patient instructor and Purpus handles exceedingly well. Step aboard Purpus and be impressed with the great views, open social spaces, nautical blue and white furnishings, luxury linens and guest amenities. The lounge in the bow is a favorite spot for al fresco dining, cocktails and conversation with comfortable seating. Whether dining, drinking or chatting, the interior salon with plush banquette seating offers deluxe comfort in an air-conditioned space. Purpus features spacious accommodations for six guests. Three queen-bed cabins with under-bed storage. All cabins are en suite with electric toilet and shower. Cabins are equipped with air conditioning, fans and portholes for fully customizable temperature. Each cabin is equipped with a USB charger for phones and iPads. Purpus is designed for water sports fun. Aft on both hulls steps lead directly into the sea, which makes getting on and off the yacht a breeze. Captain Matt Dolby started his passion for the sea at a young age. Coming from a multiple generation of sailors, he has sailed all along the east coast, Bahamas and the Caribbean and has also owned several sailboats in his life. He also developed a passion for fishing, which pointed him in the direction of becoming a classically trained sushi chef. First a chef and now a well seasoned captain in the Florida Keys, Captain Dolby brings his conscientious work ethic and hospitality to welcome all our guests on board.

Your Mate & Chef Desirae, a Florida native, has always been around the water her whole life. She found herself with a new passion of the boating and sailing life in the last several years and decided to switch from being a professional massage therapist for over 13 years to becoming a professional mariner in the last couple years working on different boats and yachts and buying her first sailboat a year ago with goals to captain professionally one day. Desirae also really enjoys bringing her food knowledge to the industry and creating an amazing food experience for her guests on board.

Captain Dolby & Mate/Chef Desirae met in Key West through sailing/boating and mutual friends. They created a bond almost immediately sharing the same life goals and lifestyle living and traveling on boats. They both work well as a team, whether on deck or in the galley to give their guests the best experience possible.

Captain Dolby & Desirae always look forward to meeting new people and taking them on new adventures, teaching and sharing knowledge, swapping stories, exploring the underwater world, eating the freshest catches after a day of fishing, and sailing towards sunsets. Both will be happy to discuss your sailing trip itinerary and menu preferences. Their bright personalities and attentiveness will make you feel right at home and relaxed on board Purpus.

Dinner

You can dine in your t-shirt and shorts yet you will be served like royalty. Dinner begins with either a soup or salad and is served with fresh breads, fresh vegetables, and a selection of beverages. The entrée is followed by dessert and cordials on deck. After dinner, your captain will meet with you to plan your next day’s itinerary. Sample dinner menus include:

  • Sushi Lovers Dinner: Freshest sushi and sashimi platter filled with local wahoo, tuna, mahi, lobster, salmon tartare, and more.
  • Grilled Bahamian Hogfish with fried plantains and Bahamian peas & rice

Loved Our Time on Board

This is by far our favorite vacation experience we've had. The boat was beautiful, the spot is perfect, and the hosts are amazing. My teenagers were over the moon about the whole experience. They loved their rooms most of all. I loved looking at the stars. It made me really happy. The boat had everything we needed and more. It was a dream come true. If we ever make our way back to the Keys we would 100% want to stay here again.

Shark Fest

On a whim we booked the catamaran for three days to end out vacation on a high point. We were not disappointed!! We had a group of 7 and our Captain Dolbey and our Chef Natalie took care of our every need. On this stellar trip we snorkeled off a reef, and docked off of a secluded island, caught tuna for dinner and even caught a shark!!

Our chef bought all of our provisions and made excellent meals for our crew. It was truly the highlight of our stay in the keys. We will be back to sail the Florida Keys ❤️

Vacation of my dreams and more!

My husband and I had never been to the Florida Keys and we love unique experiences. When I saw this as an option I knew it would be perfect. Dolby and Cassy welcomed us at the marina and then wow'd us the entire trip. Their attention to detail and incredible beautifully prepared meals were certainly a highlight. We saw dolphins, turtles, stingrays and a shark. We fished off the boat and Cassy prepared fish tacos and ceviche for us with the fresh catch. Amazing!! Working with Elizabeth to get this all in motion was very easy and fun. We saw incredible sunsets, star gazing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming in the warm ocean and explored little islands. I knew this time spent with my husband and our friends would be amazing but it was so much more than that.
