This beautiful 2020 46' Lagoon offers three large double berths each with private ensuite baths including electric heads, vanity and separate showers. The cabins and yacht both offer wonderful natural lighting and great ventilation plus fully air-conditioned depending on the guests' desires. The salon will seat up to 6 guests in comfort for lounging or dining plus with numerous lounging areas, there is plenty of space for gathering as a group or finding a private place for one or two to relax. Chase grew up in the Imperial Valley of Southern California bordering Mexico. He has always been very active exploring the local mountains and desert lands eventually making his way to the sea as an ocean lifeguard for California State Parks - North County San Diego. He quickly took to surfing and is always looking forward to catching some waves in between sailing trips. Before finding his interest in sailing, he spent several years honing in on mechanical skills while working for geothermal and oil drilling companies in Texas and Nevada. Long stints in the desert heat led him to the cooler mountains of Colorado where he worked for Vail Resorts as a lift operator and spent free time snowboarding back country trails. He then made his way to St. Thomas to get more boating experience where he bought a 23’ Pearson and taught himself to sail on days off from leading snorkel tours which was a great introduction to the best spots around the USVI. After admiring the beautiful boats in port he sought a position as crew wintering in the Caribbean and racing in the summer New England regatta circuit, then obtaining his 100 Ton USCG License. This quickly developed his strong passion for sailing and appreciation for classic vessels which is also shared by his wife Allie. They met through mutual sailing friends, worked together and then decided to acquire a boat of their own - a 1970 LeCompte 33’ which they sailed to her home in Nova Scotia.

Allie grew up in Nova Scotia where she started sailing at a young age. She taught dinghy sailing for many years primarily in Southern California but also in Australia and Vancouver, BC where she worked hospitality jobs in between sailing contracts and travel trips. She spent three summers as a hostess on-board the Rocky Mountaineer educating guests on the local flora and fauna and history of the development of the trans-continental railway as they transitioned from the temperate rainforest of the Pacific Northwest, through the semi-arid desert of British Columbia and onward through the stunning mountainsides of the Canadian Rockies. The Rocky Mountaineer is known for complementing the stunning landscape with delicious fare and Allie greatly enjoyed working alongside the culinary staff in the busy and challenging rail car galleys. She decided to pair the inspiration of the diverse Vancouver culinary scene with her love for sailing and began her career in yachting. She has worked on several vessels in New England and the Caribbean. She spent the summer cruising Nova Scotia on their LeCompte and obtaining her RYA Offshore credential while Chase captained several boats in St Thomas running Boy Scouts of America high-adventure camps, several charters and also teaching catamaran refresher courses.

He is very competent and you felt safe all the time. He is charismatic and kind and have a nice sense of humor. He created daily adventures that was adjusted to each individual wishes and capabilities. He also helped with a rental Foil during our trip

I think we all thought we were good cooks until we meet Allie. She is an outstanding chef. Her food was so delicious that we were inspired to go home and try her recipes she was willing to share

How is the yacht? Is she clean and well- maintained? Were your cabins comfortable? Was the cockpit comfortable? Was there enough shade?
Yes to all the above and we felt very safe moving around the craft in some rather rough weather!

Did you use all the water toys? If you were diving, how did you like the area?
We only snorkel. But we saw some very nice reefs, rays, turtles & fish! Chase seemed very knowledgeable of good places to snorkel and helped getting us in close. We Kayaked as much as we wanted.

Where your meals excellent and fresh? Spiced with variety and beautifully presented? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
The Food & Service was MORE THAN PERFECT! Amazing Freshness, Excellent, Beautiful, Perfectly Timed with activities & sailing, wonderful variety & combinations! They listened to our comments & treated each of our individual preferences superbly!

Highly recommend to all- and if you’re seeking a VEGAN CHEF, look no further because Lori hit it out of the park!
We had the most incredible vacation on Yacht Rendezvous! The vessel is stunning, modern and very comfortable but the crew is what really made it so special! Captain Sean and Chef Lori were wonderful and took great care to ensure we had a perfect vacation. Lori is such a relented chef and everything she prepared was delicious and 5-star worthy. We requested an all vegan charter and not only did Lori rise to the challenge but she took it to the next level and exceeded our expectations at every meal! Sean also took great care of all of us and really put safety first, while still creating a fun and playful environment. He also told did great stories and shared lots of history with us. Our only complaint is that we had to leave after our 7 night vacation 🙂

This was such an amazing trip! Thank you Lori and Sean for being such wonderful hosts. I’ll add that this was a vegan charter, which can be challenging for any chef, but Lori hit it out of the park! Every meal was so very good! And a big thanks to Sean for the history and legends of the islands, taking us SCUBA, and being a great captain!

We came to celebrate Ericas 40th birthday - this was a surprise trip planned by her new husband Erik and was in the works for nearly 2 years!! Erica's sister and brother in law were in on the surprise the entire time too - Erica had no idea!

This was a trip of a lifetime for all four of us. Lori and Sean were beyond wonderful and truly went out of their way to make sure we had a 5-star vacation. Lori was so accommodating with our meals. We requested an all-vegan charter and hit it out of the park at every meal! She also made us feel so welcome and comfortable at all times and had wonderful suggestions for beaches and amenities.

Sean was an amazing captain too - he made us feel at ease and relaxed because he was so experienced and always put safety first. We loved his stories and tours and his witty sense of humor! And the guest loved the dive! We could not have asked for a better crew and felt so lucky that Lori & Sean were the Captain & Chef for us - they made this vacation so very special - thank You! Sailing in heavy winds/sea. Long chats on the fly deck. Snorkeling! Love turtles and all else. The views each day. The wonderful water. Learning island history and boat info. Amazing foods in perfect environment!

We came on Rendezvous to celebrate our 3 hubbies graduation from dental school & had a blast! Sean and Lori were so accommodating and made our trip unforgettable. All of the food has been delectable from the cheese board day 1, to breakfast and our savory lunches and dinners! One of our fave meals was the poke stack and the french toast. Sean made some yummy Caribbean sunsets! We are so thankful for the best crew!

Highlights: All the snorkeling, especially Maho Bay and Salt Pond Bay! So many turtles! Popcorn and lobster apps! All the Mexican food! Limeout drinks and tacos! We had so much fun! :)

The food was one of our highlights. Lori made the best breakfasts, smoothies, snacks, lunches and dinners. She really went above and beyond. Her 'rendevous wraps' were especially tasty. Sean also made a mean painkiller that kept us coming back for more!

Where to start...Sean and Lori were incredible. The attention to detail Lori and Sean brought was truly 5 stars. Lori's incredible food, Sean's amazing knowledge of the islands, the history, and the marine life, allowed us to fully appreciate the Virgin Islands and what they have to offer. The food...the drinks...the are no words to describe. We were never left hungry or thirsty and everything was so tasty! My mom always said to finish your plate, well with Lori's dishes, that wasn't even a second thought. The thoughtfulness put in by both Lori and Sean for birthday celebrations, anniversary celebrations really showed how great of people they are and the willingness to go above and beyond (that homemade fudge cake we still all dream about). Thank you both again! You made this trip something we will always remember.

What a wonderful way to escape and relax during a crazy year! Rendez-vous was an amazing boat but Lori and Sean made it a true experience. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best vacation from the incredible food to their unique knowledge of the islands, they made us feel right at home. We cant wait to come back!

We were only the 4th group to charter this boat. Everything about it was new/clean/comfortable. Cabins and decks had plenty of room for our family of six to spread out on and Sean and Lori clearly invest a lot of time ensuring the boat is well cared for. Captain Sean projected confidence as a captain and dive master. He was all about safety at all times while making sure we were having fun in the water. Lori is a thoughtful hostess, everything we wanted magically appeared in our hands before we had even asked for it. Her cooking was delicious; snacks and drinks were on point. She even did an intro to scuba for my four kids which they loved. In summary, boat and crew are first class. We would definitely come back and sail on Rendezvous again with this crew!

We sailed on a relatively new 46' Lagoon, Rendez-Vous, for a full week. Because the BVI‘s remained closed for the pandemic, we sailed around St. Thomas and St. John for the week. We had to scrub our sail to St. Croix because of the winds, but we hope to return to do that next time. We were able to explore a different cove every night and had some nice side trips to St. James, Buck, and Water Islands. The boat was a great size for our family plus the crew was spotless and had all of the components and amenities that we needed to be able to relax and be comfortable while on board. The head/bathroom was fine, the shower was better than expected and the bed was comfortable. We used the AC at night simply because the bedrooms got hot with the windows closed and we discovered that a rain shower in the middle of the night was likely and we couldn’t keep the windows open. The boys sometimes slept on the deck in the open air. Other than doing some land hikes and a little bit of shopping, we spent the entire week on the boat since there was really no need to have to get off the boat – other than to check out the beach or snorkel or to go into town for a few hours. Our crew of Captain Darrin and Chef Isla were fantastic. Captain Darrin was an experienced sailor, and because he grew up locally, had great knowledge of the islands. Every night, we had a meeting with Captain Darrin and Isla to make sure that we knew what the plan was and could provide input into what we were going to do for the next day. Isla is a private chef on St. Thomas, and she cooked amazing food for us every day – which is no small feat with three large boys. There was plenty of food on board, plenty of snacks, and plenty of drinks and alcohol. The only thing we had to stop for was gas and ice a couple of times. There’s also pretty much everything on board for water sports. There were paddle boards, snorkeling gear, and floats. We felt safe in the water the whole week, and the water and snorkeling were incredible as expected. Overall, we had a blast and a perfect vacation. Captain D, and Isla, and Rendez-Vous were amazing. We will be recommending our friends and will be back again. Specific recommendations on what to bring… Bring high SPF sunscreen if you need it. There is typically some on board, but we were glad we had extra. We did not get seasick and didn’t use any Dramamine, but sea bands seem to do the trick for the gentle rolling in the coves. We only packed t-shirts, shorts, flip-flops, swimsuits, sneakers for hiking, and a sweatshirt for the trip home. We were able to carry on and avoid long lines at the airport and be able to breeze through customs by not checking baggage. We found that saved a couple of hours in all directions. Specific recommendations on where to go… We have been to the BVI’s before and expected to miss the snorkeling and beach bars there. We did not. The places around the USVI’s are so beautiful and awesome, we were in a different, amazing spot each day. Just spending time on the boat, swimming, chilling, or reading was a perfect way to spend the day. The Eastern side of St. John is mostly a national park and quiet. There are some great hikes to break up the time on the boat. The hikes to the old sugarcane factory and to Rams Head are fun. The snorkeling off of Little St. James next to the Epstein compound is fantastic. Snorkeling (or diving) over the wreck at Buck Island is cool. We ate one meal off the boat at Greengo’s on St. John and it was great. Fortunately for us, we had Isla’s great cooking on board. Check out Honeymoon Beach on Water Island (Honeymoon Beach on St. John is nice too) and make sure you eat at Dingy’s."
