It is not hyperbole to say that this trip is the best catamaran sail we have experienced, by far! Not only is the vessel the most comfortable and most well-equipped, but paired with the best crew, it was a home run! For instance:
-Brad is a highly capable sailor and technician. We felt safe at all times. He is happy, supportive, and attentive.
-Kristi is a multi-talented chef, mariner, and wife with many interests. Every day on this trip Kristi showed her creativity and knowledge of the passengers' needs and differing tastes. We never had 2 meals that were the same, and each one was literally better than the last one, no matter the cuisine. At most meals, after the first bite, I went "wow!" Kristi also never let our water bottles and drink glasses run dry without a cheerful, "What else would you like?"
-We've been sailing on smaller catamarans and this one was much, much better.
-It is clear that Brad & Kristi are an ideal pair -- they not only love each other, but they work flawlessly as a team to make the boat run smoothly.
-All in all, I rate this experience a clear 6-stars (on a 5-star scale)!

From the moment we stepped onto this sailing vessel, we felt at home. This trip has exceeded all of the lofty expectations the 8 of us had been talking about for close to a year. 2020 was a trying time for everyone and the thoughts of joining you both on this amazing trip kept us smiling and laughing. We can’t even believe the week is over already. Truly one of the best trips we have ever taken. Not going to lie when I say when Eric brought up the idea last year of spending a week aboard a boat/yacht/catamaran to celebrate the dreaded 5-0, I definitely hesitated. I couldn’t imagine wanting to celebrate turning “old” at all, much less out on the ocean with nowhere to run when the reality of acknowledging extra wrinkles, loose skin, and a possible extra pound or two set in. So many good things about turning older but also so many regrets about not learning earlier to embrace life, love myself, make more friends, and to truly enjoy each moment we have here on earth.

This week has brought so many laughs and good times, and added you all into not just our “friends” circle but actually into our “family.” From the minute we stepped on board you have fed us, loved us, and reminded us to “make good choices” every step of the way. Jeff couldn’t be any more excited about his gold dual stripe status and his duties of watching for the pirates daily.

As a family member now, we want you all to continue to enjoy all the crazy, laughs and fun we have to offer. So just know that when the invitations start rolling in, we from the bottom of our hearts will be praying you can join us in the near future.

Wow! What an amazing trip we had on the beautiful Sea Esta! We've been on several of these sailing trips and normally head straight to the BVI's. It was such a surprise blessing to have to stay in the USVI's this time. We were able to experience a whole new world! We especially loved sailing to St. Croix, the amazing snorkeling at Buck Island, and the breathtaking sunsets from Frederiksted. We also learned that St. Thomas and St. John have many incredible stops!
Brad, you are a great Captain. You know all about the islands and sea life, while also upbeat and positive, making us all feel very safe. Kristi, you are a ray of sunshine!! Between the full breakfasts, cocktail of the day and incredible meals, I'm leaving feeling very relaxed and spoiled. Brad and Kristi were excellent hosts and very accommodating. They took a great deal of pride in maintaining the Genesis and providing the best experience possible with it. They were very knowledgeable of the areas we sailed and the islands we visited. They were very energetic when we were up for activities and very good at allowing us down time and family time when we wanted that. In a boat where space is at a premium we never felt that the crew made it difficult to have space when we wanted it. We have tried to think of anything that the crew may have done differently to further enhance our experience and truly could not think of anything. This was our first sailing trip. We highly recommend Brad and Kristi and if we decide to sail again we will definitely reach out to them in hopes that they are available.

Brad and Kristi not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. They were both extremely personable, fun, caring, spontaneous, and their top priority (aside from safety) was ensuring we had a great time, which we did. The food was absolutely phenomenal (Brad and Kristi did a wonderful job customizing the meals according to individual preferences), the overall mood and dynamic on-board was fun and relaxed, and they were ready and willing to change the itinerary according to what we wanted to do. Brad and Kristi really went above and beyond to ensure we would have a memorable vacation!! They are a wonderful crew and would highly recommend them to all our friends, and definitely would book another charter with them.

The boat was great, Brad and Kristi really do a great job at maintaining the boat. It was always clean and from the moment we stepped on board, you could tell right away the boat was well cared for. It had ample space and the amenities were great. Even though the boat was in top condition, it was Brad and Kristi that really made the charter great.

Yes it was. Genesis being an older boat, it obviously lacked some features of newer ones but we knew that going in. The yacht was extremely clean though and well maintained.

Stellar food! Kristi did an amazing job observing the preference sheets for each individual and we all licked our plates each and every meal.

Yes we did. It was an amazing trip and we loved being able to see all the nooks and crannies of the islands you can't see from a mega cruise ship.

6. Additional comments on your charter?
I can't even begin to express how amazing our trip was with Kristi and Brad. They are the epitome of hospitality. From Kristi's meals and "drink of the day" to Brad's sailing skill and kindness, they are a class act. Each one of us in our party of six was so happy to have them host us for the week. We learned so much from them on sailing and the history of the area and they exceeded our expectations at every turn. I'm so glad we were able to snag them on Genesis before they move on to Sea Esta. I have no doubt they'll continue to see much success as their reputation grows in the Virgin Islands.

We spent a week with family on this boat in the BVI. One of the best vacation experiences ever. The scenery was spectacular,the boat was impeccable. The experience was elevated to extraordinary thanks to the crew, Kristi and Brad. Their concern for our safety was foremost while providing a great sailing experience. The food and drinks prepared onboard were some of the best we have had, delicious and creative. It was a relaxing and wonderful vacation that I have recommended to anyone that might ask.

Brad & Kristi- we can hardly imagine a more perfect introduction to the world of boating through the BVIs. From the moment we stepped on board, your gracious hospitality was apparent. Brad's calm demeanor at the helm immediately put our group of first-time sailors at ease and Kristi's culinary wizardry had us practically licking our plates after every meal. You accommodated our every request, from making a different breakfast for me each morning, to tethering Genesis to Sasha so that we could enjoy time together with our friends in the evenings. We now appreciate the challenges that process entailed so thank you so much for your willingness to make it happen. We are still in awe of how you work together as a team without ever losing your patience. Roger would have kicked me overboard before we left the marina! You were fantastic with the teens, who are now obsessed with playing Dutch Blitz! Each morning, they excitedly scanned the board to see what special drink you'd be whipping up for them later. Brad- you indulged our endless questions about "what island is that?" and "how big is that boat?" while entertaining us with tales of shipwrecks and dead movie stars. Kristi- you indulged our inner foodies with amazing meals, none of which involved Doritos. The coconut cake you made for the twins' 15th birthday was the culmination of a week of fantastic cuisine and we are still raving about the freshly squeezed margaritas and Ocean Cosmos. Thank you for treating our friends as though they were your guests, going out of the way to make them feel at home on our boat, and for taking turns hosting teen dinner parties so the adults could enjoy time together. Thank you for tolerating our obsession with Stepbrothers, tarpon wrestling, and sub-par conch blowing. We feel like we have two new friends in the world who partially get our weird sense of humor.


Our door in Atlanta is always open so please come visit us so that Leslie can cook for you and Roger can clean up afterward!
